The new Health Insurance Law will ensure that every resident of Dubai will have timely access to quality and affordable health services right here in the emirate.

As per the new law, companies will provide health insurance to all their employees, and to ensure that the law is complied with, the residency and work visa will not be renewed unless the worker or resident has health coverage.

To prevent companies from hiring only singles to avoid paying for the workers’ dependents, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has decided on a minimum health benefits package that would cost AED 500-700 per year.
