Executive Council Resolution No.5 of 2016 on Public Parking Services in Dubai details the change that RTA’s director general Mattar Al Tayer said would streamline paid parking management, help solve the problem of high demand for parking spaces and encourage people to use public transport.

The amended tariff rates for parking on the side of the street include Dh2 for 30 minutes, Dh4 for one hour, Dh8 for two hours, Dh12 for three hours and Dh16 for four hours. The new tariff rates for parking lots are Dh3 for one hour, Dh6 for two hours, Dh8 for three hours, Dh12 for four hours, Dh15 for five hours and Dh20 for 24 hours.

According to the resolution, the parking tariff is applicable for 14 hours per day from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm on working days. The tariff is not applicable on Fridays and official holidays.
