The Department of Economic Development-Ajman (DED-Ajman), represented by its Director General – Mr. Ali Issa Al Nuaimi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dubai Small Medium Enterprise (Dubai SME)

The Department of Economic Development-Ajman (‘DED-Ajman’), represented by its Director General – Mr. Ali Issa Al Nuaimi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (‘MOU’) with Dubai Small Medium Enterprise (Dubai SME), represented by its CEO – Abdul Baset Al Janahi.  Unknown to some, Dubai SME is an integrated division of the Department of Economic Development (‘DED’) in Dubai which was developed as a resource for support, information and outreach for the growing small and medium enterprise sector.

The signing of the MOU between the two local entities aimed at strengthening their cooperation and achieve their shared vision and goals towards boosting entrepreneurship among citizens and enhancing cooperation that supports national entrepreneurs.

Moreover, the MOU seeks to fulfil key initiatives for SMEs within both emirates such as signing them in various concessions, including the registration of DED-Ajman members in the government procurement program of Dubai SME which allocates 10 percent of the purchases to registered members of any government entity, providing the best training and marketing strategies for their projects and products, collaboration in events, training courses in entrepreneurship, marketing and organizing exhibitions, and sharing of experiences for research and studies related to the growth of SMEs.
